The definition of percent is out of one hundred. per = out of, cent = hundred
You can turn any fraction into a decimal by dividing the numerator by the denominator (the top by the bottom), and you can turn any decimal into a percentage by moving the decimal point to the right two places.
Example: 3/4 turns into 0.750, and 0.750 turns into 75.0%
In doing this, it's easier to find whether or not two fractions or decimals are equivalent, because they're in the same form, and you don't have to go through the hassle of finding a common denominator.

By definition we have to:
 The percentage is a mathematical symbol, which represents a given quantity as a fraction in 100 equal parts. It is also commonly called percent where percent means "out of every hundred units."
 We have then that using the definition we can apply the following formula to obtain a fraction or a decimal:
 \frac{A}{100}
 Where,
 A: amount in percentage
 Answer:

you can write fraction and decimals equivalents using the expression:

\frac{A}{100}

What is the area of this figure? <br>
polet [3.4K]
First, calculate the area of the square, which is 25

next, find the area of one half of the triangle by multiplying 2.5 and 4 (10), then dividing that by 2 (5).

since the two half’s of the triangle are symmetrical, just add 5 and 5 to get 10.

add the area of the triangle (10) and the square (25) to get the total area.

the answer should be 35

hope this helps!

Write an equation to make the number "24" using all the numbers 5,4,2,2 and +, -, x and ÷.
Snezhnost [94]

Answer: See explanation

Step-by-step explanation:

We are given the numbers 5,4,2, and 2 and told to make an equation from it and get a final answer as 24. This will be:

= 5 × 4 + 2 + 2

= 20 + 2 + 2

= 24.

Since we have gotten a final answer of 24, the equation is solved.

Find the exact area of an equilateral triangle if the length of one side is 40
VARVARA [1.3K]
Equilateral triangle is a triangle with the 3 sides of the same length, and the 3 angles with the same measures/degree.
The formula to find the area of a triangle is base x height/2 , you do have the base (40), but you need the height. To find the height of an equilateral triangle you use the formula: side/2 x radical3, this way u'll find the height and therefor can calculate the area of the triangle.
Hope that helped :)
