The triangle is an isosceles triangle so that means the base angles must be congruent.

The sum of the interior angles of a triangle add up to 180 degrees.

Subtract 52 degrees from 180 degrees.

180 - 52 = 128

Divide 128 degrees by 2.

128/2 = 64

m∠X = 64°

Hi!

The triangle pictured is an isosceles triangle. Isosceles triangles all have two sides of the same length and a third side, with the angles opposite the sides of the same lengths called the base angles. The base angles have the same measure, and it's only the third angle that has a different one.

In this case, the base angles are X and Z, because they are opposite the sides that are the same length in the triangle. Therefore, angle X has the same measure of angle Z.

A triangle's angles always add up to 180 degrees. Therefore, you know that m∠Y + m∠X + m∠Z = 180. And since you know m∠Y is 52 degrees, then you can say:

52 + m∠X + m∠Z = 180

And since m∠X is equal to m∠Z:

52 + m∠X + m∠X = 180

m∠X * 2 = 180 - 52

m∠X * 2 = 128

Divide everything by 2:

m∠X = 64 degrees

Joel earns $5.50 an hour and time-and-a-half for overtime. how much does he earn for a 44.5-hour week?
vova2212 [387]
The expression which can be used to solve this problem is 5.50h + 1.5h.

Since the given data is 44.5 hour week, all we need to do is substitute the given data to the expression. Since it takes 56 hours a week for a complete office/working hour without overtime, Joel's 44.5 hour week means he did not have overtime hours. Therefore the solution is,

5.50(44.5) = 244.75 Dollars.

A clogged bathtub drains at a constant rate. The amount of water in the bathtub changes by –3.75 gallons in one hour. What is th
IRINA_888 [86]

Change in the amount of water in the bathtub after -48.75 gallons. Negative sign means water get reduce by 48.75 gallons in bathtub.

Solution:

Given that

A clogged bathtub drains at a constant rate.

The amount of water in the bathtub changes by –3.75 gallons in one hour.

Need to determine change in the amount of water in the bathtub after 13 hour.

Change in amount of water in bathtub in one hour = -3.75 gallons

As given that clogged bathtub drains at a constant rate, so

Change in amount of water in bathtub in 13 hours = 13 x Change in amount of water in bathtub in 1 hours

=> Change in amount of water in bathtub in 13 hours = 13 x ( -3.75 ) = -48.75 gallons

Hence change in the amount of water in the bathtub after -48.75 gallons. Negative sign means water get reduce by 48.75 gallons in bathtub.

The perimeter of a rectangle is 96 yards and the length is 14 yards more than the width what are the dimensions of the rectangle
____ [38]

Answer:

17 yards and 31 yards.

Step-by-step explanation:

Since length is 14 more than width, lets call width: w and length: w+14

So perimeter is 96 so: 2w+2(w+14)=96

2w+2w+28=96 so 4w+28=96

4w=68 and finally w=17

So 17 yards and 31 yards.
