The main difference between them was that Marcus Garvey believed that the free African-Americans should return to Africa while W.E.B. Du Bois believed that they should stay in America which was now their home and that they should just freely have their culture there. If they returned to Africa it would be very weird for them as many of them did not even know their origin and their languages and their culture.
