Answer: Heat and Light.

Explanation: When the wood is burned, it combines with oxygen in air to partake in a combustion reaction which is exothermic. It coverts the chemical energy in the wood and release them as light and heat. Stored potential energy (in the form of chemical energy) in the log is released due to heating by other excited atoms. This chemical reaction is called combustion and requires oxygen. Combustion changes the potential chemical energy into kinetic energy in the form of heat.

Hydrogen bonding among water molecules gives water all of the following important properties, except: strong cohesion among the
motikmotik

Answer:

Answer here is A: Transparent colour."

Explanation:

Hydrogen bonds here in water provides a lot of benefits which includes cohesion, releasing heat when forming, Also because of the fact that water molecules are polar, they form hydrogen molecules and give water some characteristics which ranges from high boiling point, relative gravity, adhesion ad also cohesion. It is also known that oxygen atom attracts the electrons more strongly than the hydrogen.

A transparent colour falls in no place and do not really have any correlation in oxygen and hydrogen relationship.

A noncyclical alkane hydrocarbon containing eight carbon atoms should also contain eighteen hydrogen atoms.
Angelina_Jolie [31]
Hydrocarbons which contain only single bonds are called alkanes.  <span>This gives them a general </span><span>formula CnH2n</span>+<span>2. Given we are given eight carbon atoms then it should be that it would have 2(8)+2 = 18 hydrogen atoms. Therefore, the statement is true.</span>

A thermometer reads a pressure of 120 kPa at 0 ˚C. What is the temperature when the thermometer reads a pressure of 80 kPa? (Cel
Mariulka [41]

Answer:

T₂ = 182 K

Explanation:

Given that,

Initial pressure, P₁ = 120 kPa

Initial temperature, T₁ = 0˚C = 273 K

We need to find the final temperature when the pressure is 80 kPa.

We know that, Gay Lussac's Formula is :

\dfrac{P_1}{T_1}=\dfrac{P_2}{T_2}\\\\T_2=\dfrac{P_2T_1}{P_1}\\\\T_2=\dfrac{80\ kPa\times 273}{120\ kPa}\\\\T_2=182\ K

So, the new temperature is equal to 182 K.
