Answer:

1.44 atm

Explanation:

Step 1:

We'll begin by calculating the number of mole in 2,800,000 Liter of air.

I mole of air occupy 22.4L.

Therefore, Xmol of air will occupy 2800000L i.e

Xmol of air = 2800000/22.4

Xmol of air = 125000 moles

Step 2:

Determination of the pressure when the balloon is fully inflated .

This can be obtained as follow:

Number of mole (n) of air = 125000 moles

Volume (V) = 2800000 L

Temperature (T) = 120°C = 120°C + 273 = 393K

Gas constant (R) = 0.082atm.L/Kmol

Pressure (P) =.?

PV = nRT

Divide both side V

P= nRT/V

P= (125000x0.082x393) / 2800000

P = 1.44 atm

Therefore, the pressure of the air when the balloon is fully inflated is 1.44 atm

Even though ozone may be dangerous to our health here on Earth, how can it be beneficial in the upper atmosphere?
Annette [7]

Answer:

It absorbs ultraviolet (UV) radiation from the sun.

Explanation:

Excess UV radiation damages DNA, causing malignant skin cancers.

The ozone in the upper atmosphere is beneficial because it absorbs much of this harmful radiation.

What volume of a 0.317 M HBR solution is required to neutralize 18.8mL of a 0.129 M KOH solution?
lozanna [386]

Answer:

\large \boxed{\text{7.65 mL}}

Explanation:

1. Balanced chemical equation.

\rm HBr + KOH \longrightarrow KBr + H_{2}O

2. Moles of NaOH

\text{Moles of NaOH} =\text{ 18.8 mL NaOH} \times \dfrac{\text{0.129 mmol NaOH }}{\text{1 mL NaOH }} =  \text{2.425 mmol NaOH }

3. Moles of HBr

The molar ratio is 1 mmol HBr:1 mmol NaOH

\text{Moles of HBr}=  \text{2.425 mmol NaOH} \times \dfrac{\text{1 mmol HBr}}{\text{1 mmol NaOH}} =\text{2.425 mmol HBr}

4. Volume of HBr

V = \text{2.425 mmol HBr}\times \dfrac{\text{1mL HBr}}{\text{0.317 mmol HBr}} =   \textbf{7.65 mL HBr}\\\\\text{The reaction requires $\large \boxed{\textbf{7.65 mL HBr}}$}
