An adjacent angle is one of two angles that lie next to each other. They both share a common boundary line but do not overlap each other.  Congruent angles are angles that are opposite each other. They  only share a center point. You construct an adjacent angle and a congruent angle using a straight line and a compass by drawing two congruent angles with the same size angle in both angles. Because both angles are constructed using the same compass measurement; both angles are considered to be both congruent and adjacent.

A group of tourists spends $156 to rent snorkels and fins. A total of 15 snorkels and 18 pairs of fins are rented. Renting a sno
Bas_tet [7]
You could use many methods to find the answer to this problem, but I am going to use the most efficient one I know.
18f+15(4f)=156
F is for fins. We should now solve the equation.
18f+60f=156
78f=156
156÷78=2
So fins cost 2 dollars. Now, we know snorkels cost four times the amount of fins. Four times 2 is eight. So the snorkels cost $8 to rent. Let's check our math.
15(8) + 18(2)
120+36=156
So it cost $8 to rent a snorkel.

Given that <br> f(n) = n^2 - 4n + 3 <br> &amp; g(n) = 2n - 1<br> find gf(-2)
icang [17]

Answer:

The value of gf\left(-2\right) will be:

  • gf\left(-2\right)=29

Step-by-step explanation:

Given the functions

f(n) = n^2 - 4n + 3

g\left(n\right)\:=\:2n\:-\:1

f\left(-2\right)\:=\:\left(-2\right)^2\:-\:4\left(-2\right)\:+\:3

           =\left(-2\right)^2+4\cdot \:2+3

           =2^2+4\cdot \:2+3

            =2^2+8+3

            =4+11

            =15

so

gf\left(-2\right)=g\left(15\right)

             =2n-1=2\left(15\right)-1=30-1=29

Therefore,

  • gf\left(-2\right)=29
