pashok25 [27]

Hello there i hope you are having good day :) Question : Solve the problem by writing an inequality. = A club decides to sell T-shirts for $12 as a fund-raiser. It costs $20 plus $8 per T-shirt to make the T-shirts. Write and solve an equation to find how many T-shirts the club needs to make and sell in order to profit at least $100. Show your work? = So firstly the each of the shirt cost $12 and the money made for the shirt equals 12$ so the cost per the shirt would be 20 + 8x that lead to needing at least 100$ amount made - cost = profit would equal to 12x - (20-8x) ≥ 100 then you would do 12x-20-8x = 100 then you would also do 4x-20 = 100 then you add 20 and add 20 again that would equal 4x/4x = 120/4 that would finally lead you to the answer that would be x = 30 ---> x ≥ 30

Hopefully this help you.

If John can paint half of a room in two-thirds of an hour, what part of the room can he paint in a full hour?
Firlakuza [10]

Answer:

0.75(3/4) part of the room

Step-by-step explanation:

Step one:

given data

we can express the given data mathematically as

John can paint 0.5room in 2/3 hours

let the part of the room he can paint in an hour be x

so

if he takes 2/3 hours to paint 0.5 room

then he will take 1 hour to paint x

cross multiply we have

x= 0.5/2/3

x=0.5*3/2

x= 1.5/2

x=0.75 part of the room

75/100= 15/20=3/4 part
