Line v passes through points (1, 12) and (10, 7). The slope of line w as improper fraction is \frac{9}{5}

<u>Solution:</u>

Given, two points are (1, 12) and (10, 7)

We have to find the slope of a line that is perpendicular to line passing through the above given two points.

Slope of a line that pass through \left(x_{1}, y_{1}\right) \text { and }\left(x_{2}, y_{2}\right) is given as:

m=\frac{y_{2}-y_{1}}{x_{2}-x_{1}}

\text { Here, in our problem, } x_{1}=1, y_{1}=12 \text { and } x_{2}=10, y_{2}=7

\text { slope } m=\frac{7-12}{10-1}=\frac{-5}{9}

So, slope of line v is \frac{-5}{9}

Since<em> </em>line w is perpendicular to v,<em> the product of their slopes equals -1</em>

\text { slope line } v \times \text { slope of line } w=-1

\frac{-5}{9} \times \text { slope of line } w=-1

\text { Slope of line } w=\frac{9}{-5} \times(-1)=\frac{9}{5}

Hence, the slope of line w as improper fraction is \frac{9}{5}

6. A volleyball tournament was taking
kherson [118]

Answer:

349 players were left to play

Step-by-step explanation:

238 girls and 134 boys

and will be a plus

238+134

23 people were hurt, so if they were hurt, then they'd be out, so that would be a minus

238+134-23

238+134= 372

372-23=349

Quincy Place wants to add a pool to the neighborhood. When determining the budget, Quincy Place determined that it would also be
Brilliant_brown [7]

Answer:

Choice two

Step-by-step explanation:

Quincy must calculate  the pool’s volume in cubic feet, for each choice.

The volume is the product of the length, width and depth.

                Volume = length x width x depth

Choice One: 5 ft. × 5 ft. × 1 ft. = 25 cubic feet

Choice Two: 4 ft. × 3 ft. × 1 ft.  = 12 cubic feet

Choice Three: 4 ft. × 2 ft. × 2 ft. = 16 cubic feet

<u />

<u>Which of these choices is best for the baby pool?</u>

The best choice for the baby pool is number two, because this one requires less than 15 cubic feet of water.

<u>Why are the others not good choices?</u>

Because choice one and choice three are more than 15 cubic feet water, and won´t meet budget requirement.
