Her mistake using decimal division is: \frac{26}{8} =3.25 and \frac{14}{4} =3.5

<h3>Further explanation </h3>

The decimal numeral system is the standard system to denote the integer and non-integer numbers. The decimal numeral system is the extension to non-integer numbers of the Hindu–Arabic numeral system.  The number we divide by is called the divisor. To divide decimal numbers we multiply the divisor by as many 10's as necessary until we get a whole number.

15 divided by 0.2. Therefore 15 is called the dividend and 0.2 is called the divisor. The number we divide by is called the divisor.

Problem: 15 divided by 0.2.

Let us multiply the 0.2 by 10, that shifts the decimal point out of the way:

0.2 * 10 = 2 also 15 * 10 = 150

So \frac{15}{0.2} has become \frac{150}{0.2} (they are both 10 times larger):  \frac{150}{2} = 75. Therefore the answer is:  \frac{15}{0.2} = 75

Back to the real question:

Sarah says that 26 divided by 8 equals 14 divided 4 because both are "3 R2." Show her mistake using decimal division

\frac{26}{8} =3.25

\frac{14}{4} =3.5

The other way to show the mistake can be seen in the picture attached below

Which are the coordinates of the transformed point (3,-2) vertical stretch of 4 a. (3,2) b.(12,-2) c.(7,-6) d. (3,-8)
denis23 [38]

The given point is (3,-2).

The transformation is a vertical stretch of 4.

Vertical stretch can be obtained when we multiply the vertical coordinate by a factor, in this case, 4.

(3,-2\cdot4)=(3,-8)<h2>Therefore, the right answer is D.</h2>
