What is a green plant supported by so it can stand up? water osmotic pressure cell walls
tiny-mole [99]

Answer:

Cell walls

Explanation:

Water is not it, as liquids usually serve no supportive value.

Osmotic pressure is, "the pressure that would have to be applied to a pure solvent to prevent it from passing into a given solution by osmosis, often used to express the concentration of the solution." (Google Dictionary)

Cell walls are rigid shells on the outside of most plants which helps them stay rigid.

The A159E mutation causes an A amino acid to be replaced with an E amino acid (their structures are shown here). What type of mu
valentinak56 [21]

Answer:

Substitution

Explanation:

Mutations can simply be defined as change in the structure of a gene. Mutation can be of different types. These include, but not limited to:

  • Insertion: This involves the insertion of extra base pairs into a DNA
  • Deletion: Loss of DNA section
  • Substitution: When a nucleotide base gets substituted with another base.

<em>Substitution of a base can lead to coding of different amino acid and hence, protein. It can also lead to coding of the same amino acid, otherwise known as silent mutation. Base substitution can also lead to the amino-acid-coding codon becoming a stop codon, leading to an incomplete protein.</em>

The correct answer is substitution.

An otherwise healthy 40-year-old man was in a car accident that caused damage to his right kidney, and the organ had to be remov
Brrunno [24]
The answer is that his blood pressure could increase.

It is known that one of the functions of the kidney is to control blood volume. But, when one kidney is removed, the other one that remained must work for the both. So, the one remained kidney will try to control increased blood pressure, but if the one is not kidney is not enough, it could lead to increase of the blood pressure of the patient.

1.Burning fossil fuels
When we burn fossil fuels like coal, and gas to create electricity or power our cars, we release CO2 pollution into the atmosphere.

Australians are big producers of CO2 pollution compared to the rest of the world. Our level of CO2 pollution per person is nearly double the average of other developed nations and more than four times the world average.

Electricity generation is the main cause of carbon pollution in Australia as 73% of our electricity comes from burning coal and 13% from burning gas. The remaining 14% comes from renewable energy sources such as hydro, solar and wind, which do not emit carbon.

Reducing the amount of electricity generated from coal and gas, and increasing the amount of electricity from clean, renewable energy sources like solar and wind, means less carbon pollution is emitted. This is one of the main ways we can address global warming.
Deforestation
Plants play an important role in regulating the climate because they absorb carbon dioxide from the air and release oxygen back into it. Forests and bushland act as carbon sinks and are a valuable means of keeping global warming to 1.5°C.

But humans clear vast areas of vegetation around the world for farming, urban and infrastructure development or to sell tree products such as timber and palm oil. When vegetation is removed or burnt, the stored carbon is released back into the atmosphere as CO2, contributing to global warming. Up to one-fifth of global greenhouse gas pollution comes from deforestation and forest degradation.Global warming, population growth, and natural resources for food production. PIP: Destruction of forests and the considerable burning of fossil fuels is directly causing the level of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases including methane, carbon monoxide, and nitrous oxide in the atmosphere to rise.
