h = 10
b = 4x^y + 2xy^2

Formula
Area = 1/2 b * h

Solution
Substitute the givens into the formula
Area = 1/2 * 10 * (4x^2y + 2xy^2)
Area = 5 * (4x^2y + 2xy^2)        What to do next? I would remove the brackets
Area = 5 * 4x^2y + 5 * 2xy^2
Area = 20x^2y + 10xy^2         <<<< Answer

Also possible is to take out more common factors.
The common factor of 4x^2y + 2xy^2 is 2xy and what is left over is 2x + y

So you would have Area = 5*2xy(2x + y)

8-3(x - 5) + 2x + 3 how do I solve this
schepotkina [342]

Answer:

The answer is -x+26.

Step-by-step explanation:

First you distribute the -3 into the parthensis and you get -3x+15. You write the whole expression again plus the -3x+15 you got from the distributing part so 8-3x+15+2x+3. You combine the like terms so the x with the x and the numbers with the numbers. From there you get the answer of -x+26. I hope this helps you! Hich scenario best describes an object with a displacement of zero?
Lana71 [14]

Answer: C.  A Ball Rolls from top to the bottom of a Hill

Step-by-step explanation: In order for this to be a displacement of 0, we need a vector quantity, so we need to specify a magnitude and direction in order to fully characterize it. Unlike distance, which can only get larger on any path taken, displacement can be positive, negative, or zero. Displacement is zero when you start and end at the same spot.
