Which one is the right one? Help me please.
frez [133]

Answer:

90 km/h

Step-by-step explanation:

To solve this problem you first need to convert minutes to hours since the unit is km/h. Doing this we get half an hour (1 hour=60 mins so you divide 30 by 60) after converting you simply divide 45 by 1/2 or .5 to get the answer.

What is the sum of a 12-term arithmetic sequence where the last term is 13 and the common difference is -10?
Y_Kistochka [10]
\bf n^{th}\textit{ term of an arithmetic sequence}\\\\&#10;a_n=a_1+(n-1)d\qquad &#10;\begin{cases}&#10;n=n^{th}\ term\\&#10;a_1=\textit{first term's value}\\&#10;d=\textit{common difference}\\&#10;----------\\&#10;n=12\\&#10;d=-10\\&#10;a_{12}=13&#10;\end{cases}&#10;\\\\\\&#10;a_{12}=a_1+(12-1)d\implies 13=a_1+(12-1)(-10)&#10;\\\\\\&#10;13=a_1-110\implies \boxed{123=a_1}

\bf \\\\&#10;-------------------------------\\\\&#10;\textit{sum of a finite arithmetic sequence}\\\\&#10;S_n=\cfrac{n}{2}(a_1+a_n)\qquad &#10;\begin{cases}&#10;n=n^{th}\ term\\&#10;a_1=\textit{first term's value}\\&#10;a_n=\textit{value of the }n^{th}\ term\\&#10;------------\\&#10;n=12\\&#10;a_1=123\\&#10;a_{12}=13&#10;\end{cases}&#10;\\\\\\&#10;S_{12}=\cfrac{12}{2}(a_1+a_{12})\implies S_{12}=\cfrac{12}{2}(123+13)

and surely you know how much that is.

82,92,76,72,92,74,80 and 78 <br> What is the median
nadezda [96]
Step-by-step explanation/answer:

Order the numbers from least to greatest!

72, 74, 76, 78, 80, 82, 92, 92

Then calculate the median

First off, What is a median?

The median would be the middle number in the set of numbers

In this case the median would be 79 but let me explain

72, 74, 76, 78, 80, 82, 92, 92,

We cross out every small and greater number from this set until you are left with a number in the set

Thus, the only two left numbers are 78 and 80

Therefore we have to add 78 and 80 then divided by 2

Answer: 79
