You have been hired by a company to write a report on Internet companies’ Wi-Fi ranges. They have requested that all values be r

eported in feet using scientific notation. Isaac’s Internet Company boasts that its wireless access points have the greatest range. Isaac claims that you can access its signal up to 3,960 feet from its device. A competing company, Winston’s Wi-Fi, has a range of 1 1/2 miles. Find the value of the ratio that compares the range of Winston’s wireless access devices to the range of Isaac’s wireless access devices. Write a complete sentence describing how many times greater or less Winston’s Wi-Fi range is than Isaac’s Wi-Fi range. (5,280 feet = 1 mile)

1) first step

in first place you must to Know how many feets are in a mile, it is given at the exercise ( 5280 feet = 1 mile)

now Winston's wi-fi has a range of 1 1/2 miles, it is necessary to transform to mile,  then  1 + 1/2 = 3/2

establish the following relation 1 mile ____ 5280 feet

                                                    3/2 mile _____ x feet

x = 3/2mile ×5280 feet/ 1 mile = 7920 miles this is the range of the  Winston 's wi-fi

2 ) second step

in order to know the relation of proportion you must divide the largest amount between the lowest

7960/ 3920 =  2

3960/ 7960 = 1 / 2⇒ 2×3960 = 1×7960, it means that the signals have the relation of 1 : 2, then the value of the range of Winston's signal is twice ( 2) the value of the range of isaac's signal, therefore the value of ratio is 2

Find the solution of the system of equations.
10x+10y=40
5x+3y=8
ddd [48]

Answer:

x = -2 & y = 6

Step-by-step explanation:

10x+10y=40

10x+10y+ -10y=40+-10y

10x=-10y+40

\frac{10x}{10} =\frac{-10y+40}{10}

x=-y+4

5x+3y=8

5(-y+4)+3y=8

-2y+20=8

-2y+20+-20=8+-20

-2y=-12

\div2

y=6

x=-y+4

x=-6+4

x=-2

Hope this helps.

Find the position function of a particle moving along a coordinate line that satisfies the given conditions. 2sint-cost
dimulka [17.4K]

Answer:

the position of a particle moving at a coordinate say(y) will satisfy the given conditions t=0 (say) if y=2sint-cost

Step-by-step explanation:

Clearly by the above we can see that if y=2sint-cost at t=0, then y=-1 because at t=0 sint vanishes and leaves us with only cost and at t=0 cos0=1
