Which of the following describes a benefit of membership in a research community?
mezya [45]

D. An expensive instrument is shared by scientists at a university describes the benefit of membership in a research community

Explanation:

A membership in a research community like university research group is a huge benefit for the researcher.

One of the main advantage is sharing of expensive equipment among the members. The university will be equipped with most of the latest equipment necessary to conduct research like supercomputers, latest imaging equipment, manufacturing units, etc which would otherwise be inaccessible to an individual researcher. The researcher can utilize this huge benefit to conduct various experiments needed for his/her research.

These memberships provides a lot of opportunities to interact with fellow researchers, scientists etc, it provides a platform to showcase each one's research, to discuss various merits and demerits of the research, and to know about other valuable information shared by others.

Why we used dyes when we prepare onion , human cheek eqithelium smears, and didn’t use it in cork and leaf epidermal cells smear
Ad libitum [116K]

Answer:

Explanation:

Staining is done for onion cells to visualize the cytoplasm of yellow and white onions because they are not pigmented. The staining of human cheek cells with methylene blue is necessary to stain the nucleus to get clear image of it under microscope because methylene blue binds to negative charge nucleic acids

While for leaf epidermal cells smears, staining is not necessary as they are visible under light microscope without staining and they also have pigmented materials inside them such as chlorophyll chloroplast.  The cork cell is a non-living and have a cell wall whose structure is visible under light microscope.
