The Disengagement Theory is the one that talks about how aging cannot be avoidable and eventually causes a natural withdraw of the older person from society. Being it because interests change, the body can't handle the routine anymore, or whatever the reason is. There are variations of this theory, though, such as the Moral Disengagement one.
