The answer is C. 89 in^2

This is found by (1/2(\pi r^{2}))+70

r in this equation stands for radius which is half the diameter. Sice the diameter equals 7, the radius equals 3.5

You have to solve this by putting it into a calculator since you can't really solve for an equation with pi in it otherwise.

Hope this helps!

A rectangle has an area of 8 square centimmetres and a perimeter of 12 cm. What are the width and breath?
vlada-n [284]
Let the Length be L and the Width be W

The area is 8 cm²
LW = 8

The perimeter is 12
2(L + W) = 12
L + W = 6

Solve L and W:
LW = 8 --------------- (1)
L + W = 6------------ (2)

Equation (2):
L + W = 6
L = 6 - W -------------- Sub into (1)
(6 - W) W = 8
6W - W² = 8
W² - 6W + 8 =0
(W -2 )(W - 4) = 0
W = 2 or 4

When W =2, L = 6 - 2 = 4
When W = 4, L = 6 - 4 = 2

Answer: The Width is 2 cm and the Length is 4 cm

Martin is able to use logical reasoning to prove the statement "in any triangle ,the sum of the measures of any two angles is le
Flauer [41]

Answer:

Theorem.

Step-by-step explanation:

Postulate/Axiom: Can't be proven or disproven.

Definition: Defines a term. Can be proven.

Theorem: Can be proven.

"Proof" (informal but it works): Triangle has 180°, that means two angles will be less than 180°. Right angles are 90°, that means two 90° angles add up to 180°. Something that is less than 180° is less than 180°.

This statement is provable, but doesn't necessarily define anything.
