Answer:

Profit= $1600

The profit which firm is generating is $1600.

Explanation:

Formula:

Profit= Total Selling Cost- Total Actual Cost

Profit= (Price at which unit is sold*Number of units) - (Average cost*Number of units)

In our case:

Number of units=800 units

Price= $6

Average cost= $4

Profit= ($6*800) - ($4*800)

Profit= ($4800) - ($3200)

Profit= $1600

The profit which firm is generating is $1600.

Diano4ka-milaya [45]

The correct answer is B) traditional.

Aflak Corporation, an Omani firm, is currently planning goods market in India. Aflak Corporation will most likely discover that traditional beliefs and values are more open to change in India.

When a multinational company is planning on initiating operations in another country, it has to be very sensible of the traditional values of that country. The company is getting into a new market and people could have different belief systems, different culture, traditions, and customs, that need to be carefully assessed by the multinational company if they are about to be successful in the new country.

This is the case of India, which has always have very strict traditional values, although younger generations are relaxing those values in recent years.

Pani-rosa [81]

The question is incomplete as the figures are missing. The complete question is,

Smiley Corporation sold equipment costing $72, 000 with $66, 000 of accumulated depreciation for $10, 000 cash. Which of the following journal entries should be prepared?

A. debit Cash for $10, 000, credit Equipment for $6000 and credit Gain on Sale of Equipment for $4000

B. debit Cash for $10, 000, debit Accumulated Depreciation - Equipment for $66, 000, credit Equipment for $72000 and credit Gain on Sale of Equipment for $4000

C. debit Cash for $10, 000 and credit Gain on Sale of Equipment for $10, 000

D. debit Accumulated Depreciation - Equipment for $66, 000 and credit Equipment for $66, 000

Answer:

Option B is the correct answer.

Explanation:

To calculate the gain or loss on disposal of the equipment, we first need to determine the book value of the equipment on the date of sale.

Net Book Value = Cost - Accumulated depreciation

Net Book value = 72000 - 66000   = $6000

The gain/(loss) on disposal = Sales Proceeds - Net Book value

The gain/(loss) on disposal = 10000 - 6000 = $4000 Gain

The entry to record this transaction will be,

Cash                                                              $10000 Dr

Accumulated depreciation - Equipment     $66000 Dr

          Equipment                                                   $72000 Cr

          Gain on sale-Equipment                             $4000 Cr

Should eyewitness testimony be allowed in the courtroom? Write at least three paragraphs discussing your position.
Andrews [41]
(Paragraph 1) Should eyewitness testimony be allowed in the courtroom? No but at the same time yes. There are many reasons why they should but shouldn't. It is a risk to their safety, some eyewitnesses are not liable, they could be paid off but at the same time their testimony could help win a case. (Paragraph 2) Depending on a crime, the eyewitness safety could be in danger. If the case was against a member of a gang or mafia. They could send someone after that witness. This is reason why we have the Witness Protection Program. If they testify they put their lives at risk. (Paragraph 3) Having a witness is a key thing to have. If you have a witness you are the one who most likely the one to win the case. In some cases you could have problems with the witness not being liable, getting paid off to not say anything or to lie. Or in most cases if they are confused they will not have them testify. Or they aren't straight on the details and keep changing the story that usually means they are lying on what they saw. Note: This is a summary. Add more and edit it to make it sound like something you would type.
