How does Prince Henry the Navigator influence the historical voyage of Columbus long after his death?
barxatty [35]

Answer:

Henry The Navigator was funding voyages long before Columbus started his journey in 1492, and was among the first who allowed his sailors to sail on the open sea and use the wind to navigate his journey.

Explanation:

Although Prince Henry didn't sent his sailors to far from the coast, still he was among the first ones who allowed them to start a large journeys on the Atlantic Ocean. Of course, they started these journeys because they started using technological improvements that were later used by most of the explorers.

What was considered middle age in the early 1800s?
zvonat [6]
Life expectancy around the year 1800 was only about 36 years, so "middle age" (or median of lifespans) would be only about 17 or 18 years of age.  By the time young people reached their late teens, they typically were expected to be working, married and carrying adult responsibilities.

Those life expectancy numbers can be a little misleading, though.  A main reason that average life expectancy was only in the mid-30s is because infant mortality rates were very high.  For persons who survived their childhood into adulthood, there was a good chance they lived to a much older age than 30-something.
