First, we are going to divide -4q^2-22q+12 by the divisor, which is 2q+1
\frac{-4q^2}{2q}=-2q
Then, multiply 2q+1 by 2q+1
-4q^2-2q
We are going to subtract -4q^2-2q from -4q^2-22q+12 in order to get the new remainder.
So...
\frac{-4q^2-22q+12}{2q+1}=-2q+\frac{-20q+12}{2q+1}

=-2q+\frac{-20q+12}{2q+1}
That's our answer.
Have a nice day! :)

First factor (-4q^2-22q+12), and you end up with −2(q+6)(2q−1)now rewrite your expression as: −2(q+6)(2q−1)/(2q+1)
unfortunately you can't simplify this any further.

Find the first four terms of the sequence given by the following.<br> an = 32+(n-1)-3, n=1, 2, 3...
natta225 [31]

The first four terms are 32,29,26,23

Step-by-step explanation:

Given sequence is:

a_n=32+(n-1)(-3)\\

We will put n=1,2,3,4

Putting n=1 in formula of sequence

a_1=32+(1-1)(-3)\\=32+(0)(-3)\\=32+0\\=32

Putting n=2

a_2=32+(2-1)(-3)\\=32+(1)(-3)\\=32-3\\=29

Putting n=3

a_3=32+(3-1)(-3)\\=32+(2)(-3)\\=32-6\\=26

Putting n=4

a_4=32+(4-1)(-3)\\=32+(3)(-3)\\=32-9\\=23

The first four terms are 32,29,26,23

The given diagram can be used to prove the Pythagorean theorem. Which expression represents the total area of the largest square
Oksanka [162]

Answer:

C = a² + 2ab + b²

Step-by-step explanation:

From the diagram above,

Let the dimension of the square be

A (length) = (a + b) and B (breadth) = (a + b).

Area of the square is A*B

A * B = (a + b) * (a + b)

Area = a² + ab + ab + b²

Area = a² + 2ab + b².

Therefore the expression that defines the area of the square is a² + 2ab + b².
