Circumference is 2πr or πd.
So for part 1 the diameter = 9in.
Plug in 9 into the πd formula.
π*9 = 9π in. ≈ 9*(22/7) ≈ 28.29in

For part 2 (from what I can see) they want you to find the same circumference in centimeters(cm) and use 22/7 for π so first convert the radius to cm.
9 in = 9*2.54 = 22.86cm
Next plug in the values into the Circumference formula: π*d
(22/7)*(22.86) ≈ 71.85cm

Hope this helps!

The volume of the Apple iPad Mini 2 is 12.561 in³.

The new volume of the Pear-Apple is 24.53 in³.

The new volume of the Pear-Apple is 5.3in³.

The scale factor to have a volume that is half that of the iPad Mini is 0.79.

The scale factor to have a volume that is double that of the iPad Mini is 1.26

What is the volume of the Apple iPad Mini 2?

Volume = length x width x height

7.9 x 5.30 x 0.30 = 12.561 in³

What is the volume after the scale factors are applied?

Dimensions after the 1.25 scale factor is applied: (1.25 x 7.9) x (1.25 x 5.30) x (1.25 x 0.3)

= 9.875 x 6.625 x0.375 = 24.53 in³

Dimensions after the 0.75 scale factor is applied: (0.75 x 7.9) x (0.75 x 5.30) x (0.75 x 0.3)

= 5.925 x 3.975 x 0.225 = 5.3in³

Scale factor to have a volume that is double that of the iPad Mini : 2^{1/3} = 1.26

Scale factor to have a volume that is half that of the iPad Mini : 0.5^{1/3} = 0.79

A Ski resort tracks the proportion of seasonal employees who are rehired each season. Rehiring a seasonal employee is beneficial
DaniilM [7]

The test statistic z will be equal to -0.946 and it shows that there is no significant difference in the proportion of rehires between full time and part time.

Given sample sizes of 833 and 386 and result of samples 434 and 189.

n_{1} =833,     n_{2}=386

Proportion  of full time=434/833=0.52

Proportion of part time=189/386=0.49.

Difference in proportion =0.52-0.49

H_{0}:TTF- i∈ rho=0

H_{1}: TTF+i∈ rho≠0.

Mean of difference=0.03

Z=(X-μ)/σ

σ=\sqrt{0.4517/447}

=0.0317

σ=0.0317

z=(0-0.03)/0.0317

=-0.03/0.0317

=-0.317

p value will be =0.1736.

Because p value is greater than 0.01 so we will accept the null hypothesis which shows that there is no significant difference in the proportions.

Hence there is no significant difference in the proportion of rehires between full time and part time.
