This is a compound interest problem so you cannot use the simple interest formula. Effectively the total amount is being compounded each year by 6%. There is a formula for compound interest but in this simple example you can work this out recursively.
year 1 = 6500
year2 = 6500*1.06 = 6890
year3 = 6890*1.06 = 7303
year4 = 7303*1.06 = 7741..
etc......
year12 = 11604*1.06 = 12338
We know that
A pitcher of water contains 1/4 liters of water--------------> 0.25 lt
then
0.25 lt/5--------> 0.05 lt
In each glass are 0.05 lt of water
1 lt-------------> 1000 ml
0.05 lt----------> X
X=0.05*1000--------> X=50 ml
the answer is
In each glass are 0.05 lt of water
In each glass are 50 ml of water

1 quarter + 1 dime + 1 nickel = 25¢ + 10¢ + 5¢ = 40¢
Each 5¢ buys 15 minutes. How many ' 5¢ ' are in 40¢ ?
40/5 = 8 of them. So the (quarter+dime+nickel) can buy 8 x 15 minutes = 2 hours.
Starting at 9:00 AM, the meter had 5 minutes left on it, and Marsha bought
another 2 hours. So now the meter is good until 2 hours and 5 minutes
after 9:00 AM . . . . . 11:05 AM.
