He can play 4 rounds. If you find a common denominator, it would end up with 9/12 of an hour to play and then you subtract the 1/12 it took to set it up. this leaves you with 8/12. but, it takes 2/12 of an hour to play each round. so 8 divided by 2 is 4. Which is where the 4 rounds is from!

Bonnie had 1 one-dollar bill, 2 five-dollar bills, and 2 ten-dollar bills in her pocket. She randomly took 3 bills from her pock
Burka [1]

Answer:

There are 5 different outcomes, $30, $21, $20, $16 and $11.

Step-by-step explanation:

Bonnie has a total of 6 bills in her pocket. If she takes 3 random bills, this means that there are 20 different possibilities but the five dollar bills and ten dollar bills are not indistinctive so the number is not 20 for this example.

She can take the 1 dollar bill and the two 5 dollar bills which would make 11 dollars.

She can take the 1 dollar bill and the two 10 dollar bills which would make 21 dollars.

She can take the 1 dollar bill, one 5 dollar bill and one 10 dollar bills which would make 16 dollars.

She can take two 5 dollar bills and one 10 dollar bill which would make 20 dollars.

She can take two 10 dollar bills and one 5 dollar bill which would make 30 dollars.

So there are 5 different outcomes, $30, $21, $20, $16 and $11.

I hope this answer helps.

An airplane is currently at an altitude of 3,500 meters, and it is gaining altitude at a rate of 230 meters per minute. it needs
Alborosie
6400 meters_>3500 + 230t
It's greater than or equal to because the minimum is 6400 so the altitude can be higher and the pilot is gaining 230 meters per minute which is 230t and he started at 3500

Write the equation of the quadratic function that passes through the points (-1, 1), (1, 5), and (2,10).
Serjik [45]

Answer:

\displaystyle f(x)=x^2+2x+2

Step-by-step explanation:

<u>System Of Linear Equations </u>

In this problem, we'll need to solve a 3x3 system of linear equations because we have three unknowns and three conditions.

We are required to find the equation of the quadratic function that passes through the points (-1, 1), (1, 5), and (2,10)

The general quadratic function can be written as

\displaystyle f(x)=ax^2+bx+c

We need to find the values of a,b, and c. Let's use the first condition, i.e. f(-1)=1

\displaystyle f(-1)=a(-1)^2+b(-1)+c

\displaystyle f(-1)=a-b+c

\displaystyle a-b+c=1.....[eq\ 1]

Now we use the second condition f(1)=5

\displaystyle f(1)=a(1)^2+b(1)+c

\displaystyle f(1)=a+b+c

\displaystyle a+b+c=5.......[eq\ 2]

Finally, we use the third condition f(2)=10

\displaystyle f(2)=a(2)^2+b(2)+c

\displaystyle f(2)=4a+2b+c

\displaystyle 4a+2b+c=10....[eq\ 3]

We put together eq 1, eq 2, and eq 3 to form the system

\displaystyle \left\{\begin{matrix}a-b+c=1\\ a+b+c=5\\ 4a+2b+c=10\end{matrix}\right.

Adding the first two equations we have

\displaystyle 2a+2c=6

\displaystyle a+c=3

And also

\displaystyle b=2

Using the above equation and the value of b in the third equation, we have

\displaystyle \left\{\begin{matrix}a+c=3\\ 4a+c=6\end{matrix}\right.

Subtracting the first equation from the second

\displaystyle 3a=3

\displaystyle a=1

And therefore

\displaystyle c=2

Now we have all the values, the quadratic function is

\displaystyle \boxed{f(x)=x^2+2x+2}

Solve the inequalty 2 2/5 &lt; b-8/15
mr_godi [17]

Answer:

b>44

Step-by-step explanation:

12/5<b-8/15

switch sides b-8/15>12/5

multiply both sides by 15  15(b-8)/15>12*15/5

simplify b-8>36

add 8 to both sides b-8+8>36+8

simplify

b>44

How are multiplying fractions and dividing fractions different
Lesechka [4]

So when multiplying or dividing, students can use a fact from the inverse operation. ... In multiplication the numbers you multiply are called factors; the answer is called the product. In division the number being divided is the dividend, the number that divides it is the divisor, and the answer is the quotient.
