Can you help me with this problem I'm doing school virtually and I don't know what to do on this.
Lapatulllka [165]

Answer:

d > 9

Step-by-step explanation:

An easy way to do these questions is to treat the >/</>/< symbols as if they were an equals sign.

So for this question, pretend it is d+13=22 then take away 13 from both sides which will give you d=9, then after that you'll just switch the symbol back and write your answer as d > 9.

Hope this helps :)

Consider the points below. P(2, 0, 2), Q(−2, 1, 4), R(7, 2, 6)
Zina [86]

Answer: the vector orthogonal is  ( 0, 26, -13 )

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that;

P(2, 0, 2),  Q(−2, 1, 4), R(7, 2, 6)

PQ = Q - P = (−2, 1, 4) - (2, 0, 2) = (-4, 1, 2)

PR = R - P = (7, 2, 6)  - (2, 0, 2) = ( 5, 2, 4)

SO

orthogonal vector = PQ × PR

= ║ i    j    k

    -4   1   2          = i(1×4 - 2×2) + j(5×2 - (-4×4)) + k(-4×2 - 5×1) = 0i + 26j - 13k

     5   2   4  ║

= ( 0, 26, -13 )

Therefore the vector orthogonal is  ( 0, 26, -13 )

Taxi charges 2.95 for the first mile and 0.30 per 1/8 gary was charged 25.45 for this taxi ride. Not including the first mile ho
Arisa [49]

Using proportions, considering the cost of the taxi per mile, it is found that Gary traveled 9.375 miles, not including the first.

What is a proportion?

A proportion is a fraction of a total amount, and the measures are related using a rule of three.

In this problem, the company charges 2.95 for the first mile and $0.3 per each 1/8 mile next = $2.4 per mile. After the first mile, he was charged a total of $25.45 - $2.95 = $22.5. Hence the number of miles is given by:

22.5/2.4 = 9.375.
