Help. (real tips please) How do you swim fast, and not embarrass yourself?
miskamm [114]

Answer:

There are 2 main ways to improve your swimming: reducing drag and increasing propulsion. Focusing on technique during your workouts will help you refine your stroke over time and you'll get faster as a result. To reduce drag, take a look at your body position.

Front Crawl is also known as freestyle, as it is the most used stroke in freestyle events. This is because it is the fastest and most efficient of all the strokes. To perform the front crawl, lie on your tummy in the water.

Weights, a pull buoy, or parachute are all ways to build your strength as you swim. Think of it like running with your arms full of shopping. You're much faster once you've put them down. You can also focus on the speed of your laps.

Why is maintaining homeostasis important to organisms? What happens when they can’t?
wlad13 [49]

Answer:

Homeostasis, in a definitive way, is the maintaining of an animals internal and external enviorments in order to maintain proper and normal functioning.

Homeostasis is important to animals because it keeps their body in a steady state where they can continue to thrive and live.

When an animal can't maintain Homeostasis, it's bodily functions will begin to fail due to it's inability to maintain it's normal functioning in the present enviorment. Without Homeostasis, the body will become unstable and weak, leading shortly to death..

Explain how microorganisms affect humans. Make sure you talk about bacteria and yeast. Do they affect our environment, health, o
pav-90 [236]

Microorganisms such as bacteria, viruses, yeasts and molds can spoil food and may cause a risk to anyone's health. Microbes cause infectious diseases such as flu and measles. But you do have to remember that less than 1% of bacteria can invade our body (the host) and make us ill. So even if it is 1%, that's still 1% that can harm you.

Some examples of how microorganisms affect humans and how they can enter through your body:

Respiratory tract (mouth and nose): Influenza virus which causes the flu.

Gastrointestinal tract (mouth oral cavity): Vibrio cholerae which causes cholera.

Urogenital tract: Escherichia coli which causes cystitis.

Breaks in the skin surface: Clostridium tetani which causes tetanus.
