Rock salt and rock gypsum are examples of ________ sedimentary rocks.

Geography

Answer:

Rock salt and rock gypsum are common examples of chemical sedimentary rocks called evaporities.

Explanation:

Evaporities are sedimentary rocks presented in layers of saline minerals, the main ones being gypsum and halite, deposited directly from brines in areas of the sedimentation basin, notably coastal, which presents conditions of strong evaporation.

Salt precipitation occurs when the solute reaches the salt saturation point of that component. Thus the deposition of salt layers occurs, in a sequence or sequence of progressive salinization of the deposition basin, from the less soluble to the most soluble salts; for example, gypsum and anhydrite in the lower layers, halite ("table salt", silvite, carnalite .. in the upper layers.

Is climate change a catastrophe that warrants immediate action?" A yes or no answer will not suffice! Find an article in the pop
dedylja [7]

Answer:

Climate change as catastrophic, irreversible this article is taken from Guardian newspaper.

Explanation:

  • As global warming is a long rise in the average temperatures of the earth climate it's a major aspect o climate change taking place all over the world. And it is measured by the rise in rising in surface temperature both on land and in oceans and measured continuously as its growth is continuous.
  • According to the IPCC panel the the global rise in temperature form 2.8 degree to 4.8 degrees in 21st century and the possible costs associated to this event site migration of species from these place, along with the environmental impact of mass extinction or relocation natural ecosystems such as coral reefs, mountain chains and shrinking of arctic and antarctic poles.
  • Various NGOs have come up that try to mitigate this change in the evolution of natural gases, either by climatic engineering or by adaptation of habitats. NASA, UNFCCC and G77 nations have taken this step towards the prevention of climatic change.

Plate movements on Earth’s crust create (blank)?
Kitty [74]

Answer:

- Plate movements on Earth’s crust create stress.

- This adds energy to the crust, which then bends and breaks, forming mountains and geological basins.

Explanation:

The tectonic plates literally float over the magma. Thus, what makes the tectonic plates move is precisely the movement of this magma! And this movement does not happen at all, but in a cyclical variation, which we call Earth convection currents or cells.

The movement of tectonic plates moving over the asthenosphere (pasty part) interacting over time in a geodynamic process that results in the origin of mountains and geological basins, causing seismic quakes (earthquakes and tidal wave), volcanism, magmatism and other geological events (formation of mountain ranges and underwater pits) all due to these plate movements.
