The kind of element that has the greatest tendency to attract electrons are inert gases or noble gases, in the right side of the periodic table. It is because the nuclear charge is bigger for the elements in the right side of the periodic table, and inert gases or noble gases' atom is the best to attract electrons.

What force is necessary to accelerates a 1250kg car at a rate of 40 m/s
zalisa [80]

Answer:

F = 50000 N

Explanation:

The acceleration is rate of change of velocity of an object with respect to time.

Formula:

a = Δv/Δt

a = acceleration

Δv = change in velocity

Δt = change in time

Units:

The unit of acceleration is m.s⁻².

Acceleration can also be determine through following formula,

F = m × a

a = F/m

Given data:

Mass of car = 1250 Kg

Acceleration = 40 m/s².

Force = ?

Solution:

F = m × a

F = 1250 Kg × 40 m/s²

Kg.m/s² = N

F = 50000 N

A chemical equation is shown:
Alla [95]

Answer:

Explanation:

C2H4 + O2 → CO2 + H2O

eqn is unbalanced - balancing by counting no. of C n H atoms

C=2 n H=4 in one C2H4

so the reaction will form two CO2 + two H2O

counting no. of O atoms: 2*2 + 2*1

=4+2

s fo"rmed when one atom of carbon (atomic number 6) is covalently" bonded with two atoms of oxygen (atomic number 8). What is th
sweet [91]

Answer: The total number of electrons that must be shared between carbon and oxygen atoms are 8.

Explanation:

A covalent compound is formed when sharing of electrons takes place between the atoms forming a compound.

Carbon is the 6th element of the periodic table having electronic configuration of 1s^22s^22p^2

This element requires 4 electrons to complete its shell.

Oxygen is the 8th element of the periodic table having electronic configuration of 1s^22s^22p^4

This element requires 2 electrons to complete its shell.

So, in order to complete the octet of both the elements, 2 oxygen atoms are required for 1 carbon atom.

Hence, the total number of electrons that must be shared between carbon and oxygen atoms are 8.
