Biology

Answer:

Compound microscopes are capable of greater magnification and resolution, but need to be used with very small objects that the light can easily pass through. Dissecting microscopes are used for examining larger, thicker objects at lower magnification.

Explanation:

The dissecting microscope is configured to allow low magnification of three-dimensional objects- objects larger or thicker than the compound microscope can accommodate. Furthermore, the two separate lenses of the binocular dissecting microscope allow one to see objects in three dimensions, i.e., in stereo.

How might fin shape differ in a fish with a torpedo-shaped cylindrical body and a fish with a flattened body?
snow_tiger [21]
Fish with torpedo shaped bodies would have fins built for speed, fish with flattened body’s probably use their fins more for stability, so they would probably be sticking up on top of their bodies and sides and not as arrow dinamic as a torpedo shaped fish, who would have fins that and pointed back for speed.
