josh wanted to buy a bicycle but didn't have enough money. After josh told his troubles to sam slick, sam said,"I can fix that.

see that fence? each time you jump that fence, i'll double your money. There's one small thing though: you must give me $32 each time for the priviledge of jumping." Josh agreed, jumped the fence, received his payment from sam slick, and paid sam $32. Repeating the routine twice more, josh was distressed to find that, on the last jump,after sam had made his payment to josh, josh had only $32, with which to pay sam and so had nothing left. Sam, of course, went merrily on his way, leaving josh wishing that he had known a little more about mathematics.

Answer:If he had less than 32 he couldn't jump. If he had 64 he would have not lost nor won on each jump -- he gets 64 in total after each jump. If he had more than 64 he would have won.

Now, 3 jumps give him a result of 32. After 2 jumps he had 32(pay)+16(doubled)=48. After the first jump he had 32+24=56. Before that he had 32+28=$60. 5 more dollars and he could have build his way to richness!

The height of a parallelogram is one-third its base. If the area of the parallelogram is 363 square inches, find its base and he
kipiarov [429]

Answer:

Height = 11 inches

Base = 33 inches

Step-by-step explanation:

In this question, we are asked to find the height and base of a parallelogram given the area of the parallelogram.

From the question, we are told that height is 1/3 of base. This means that base is 3 times the height

So if we represent the height with variable h, then the base is 3h

Mathematically the area of a parallelogram can be calculated by the formula

A = bh

Thus ,

363 = h * 3h

3h^2 = 363

divide through by 3

h^2 = 121

h = √121

h = 11 inches

since b = 3h , then b = 3 * 11 = 33 inches

Step-by-step explanation:

Add 1000+1000

2000

Since its 999 not 1000 subtract 1

1999

Now add 1 and subtract 1 from 587

Then add 2000 with 586

lord [1]
I’m pretty sure you would have a 72% which would be a low C but maybe still passing. My schools passing grade is 70%. You would have to see what a passing grade is in your school.

larry ran 220 meters farther that leigh ran. leigh ran 2.3 kilometers. how many kilometers did larry run?
Gala2k [10]
Larry ran 2.52 killometers. Since a meter is 0.001 killometers, you have to do 0.001 x 220 which is 0.22 then do 2.3 + 0.22 and get 2.52.
