Bob's suggestion will allow Mary to find a middle ground between her family and her career.

Explanation:

Mary will be able to follow her career path which is rewarding and lucrative if she does not have to work full time because if she follows the path she will have to work part time and she will still have time to spare for her children.

The same goes for her family life because if she had to have chosen the job she would not be able to take care of her children and give them the upbringing she wants to, if she had left the job  she would have to let go of her career.

mojhsa [17]

Answer:

4.20%

Explanation:

In this question, we use the Rate formula which is shown in the spreadsheet.

The NPER represents the time period.

Given that,

Present value = $1,150

Future value = $1,067.50

Assuming Par value  = $1,000

PMT = 1,000 × 6.35% = $63.50

NPER = 5 years

The formula is shown below:

= Rate(NPER;PMT;-PV;FV;type)

The present value come in negative

So, after solving this, the rate of return is 4.20%

pickupchik [31]

Answer:

$31,920,341.91

Explanation:

The computation is shown below:

For computing the receiving amount in 2052 first we have to determine the rate which is shown below:

Current value = Initial value × (1 + interest rate)^time period

$1,480,000 = $115 × (1 + interest rate)^114

So, after solving this, the interest rate is 8.654%

Now the received amount in 2052 is

= $1,480,000 × (1 + 0.8654%)^37

= $31,920,341.91

The time period is come from

= 2015 - 1901

= 114

And, the 37 years is come from

= 2052 - 2015

= 37
