Soil contains vermiculite, a natural mineral.Even though Vermiculite holds water, it can be dangerous for the human body. It's filled with naturally occurring asbestos, and when asbestos is breathed in, it can risk our respiratory system. In addition, soil has a potentially serious disease causes from bacteria called Legionnaires' Disease. It's very dangerous, especially for the people with a weak immune system.
Hope this helps.

Using the midpoint and the distance formulas, calculate he coordinate of the midpoint and the length of the segment.
arsen [322]

Answer:

Explanation:

Formula to calculate the distance between two points (x_1,y_1) and (x_2,y_2) is,

d = \sqrt{(x_2-x_1)^2+(y_2-y_1)^2}

Therefore, length of CD having coordinates C(3,1) and D(3, 3),

CD = \sqrt{(3-3)^2+(1-3)^2}

     = 2 units

Formula to find the midpoint of CD is,

M = (\frac{x_1+x_2}{2},\frac{y_1+y_2}{2})

   = (\frac{3+3}{2},\frac{1+3}{2})

   = (3, 2)

Therefore, length of CD = 2 units and (3, 2) are the coordinates of the midpoint of CD.

A flask that weighs 345.8 g is filled with 225 mL of carbon tetrachloride.
Vsevolod [243]

Answer:

1.59 g/mL

Explanation:

Mass of CCl₄ = mass of flask and CCl₄ − mass of empty flask

m = 703.55 g − 345.8 g

m = 357.75 g

Density = mass / volume

d = 357.75 g / 225 mL

d = 1.59 g/mL

An ion's position vector is initially r with arrow = 7.0i hat â 7.0j + 1.0k, and 5.0 s later it is r with arrow = 7.0i hat + 7.0
harkovskaia [24]
<h2>Answer:</h2>

Shown in the explanation

<h2>Explanation:</h2>

Position vector of a  particle at a given instant is given by:

\vec{r}=x\hat{i}+y\hat{j}+z\hat{k}

On the other hand, the average velocity is the change in the particle’s position vector divided by time interval:

\vec{v}=\frac{\Delta \vec{r}}{\Delta t}=\frac{\vec{r_{2}}-\vec{r_{1}} }{t_{2}-t_{1}} \\ \\ \\ Where: \\ \\ \\ \vec{r_{1}}: Initial \ position \\ \\ \vec{r_{2}}: Final \ position \\ \\ t_{1}:Initial \ time \\ \\ t_{2}:Final \ time

So we have:

\vec{r_{1}}=7\hat{i}+7\hat{j}+1\hat{k} \\ \\ \vec{r_{2}}=7\hat{i}+7\hat{j}+8\hat{k} \\ \\ \\ Then: \\ \\ \Delta \vec{r} = \vec{r_{2}}-\vec{r_{1}}=7\hat{i}+7\hat{j}+8\hat{k}-(7\hat{i}+7\hat{j}+1\hat{k}) \\ \\ \Delta \vec{r}=7\hat{k} \\ \\ \\ We \ also \ know: \\ \\ \Delta t=5s

Finally, the average velocity is:

\vec{v}=\frac{\Delta \vec{r}}{\Delta t} \\ \\ \\ \vec{v}=\frac{7\hat{k}}{5} \\ \\ \boxed{\vec{v}=\frac{7}{5}\hat{k} \ units/s}
