Consider the parts of a polar ecosystem and a desert ecosystem.
g100num [7]

Answer: Abiotic factor for polar: Ice

Abiotic for desert: Sand

Biotic for polar: Polar bears

Biotic for desert: Cacti

The types of factors are different because there are different set conditions for each ecosystem. A cactus is built for it's hot, dry ecosystem. If it were to move to a polar ecosystem it would not survive there. Same for the polar bear. It's built for polar regions. It has white fur to blend with the white ice to help it blend in and it's adapted to swim to get it's food source.

Which energy is affected by an object's mass?
statuscvo [17]

Answer:

A potential

B kinetic

Explanation:

Kinetic energy can be defined as an energy possessed by an object or body due to its motion.

Mathematically, kinetic energy is given by the formula;

K.E = \frac{1}{2}MV^{2}

Where, K.E represents kinetic energy measured in Joules.

M represents mass measured in kilograms.

V represents velocity measured in metres per seconds square.

Potential energy can be defined as an energy possessed by an object or body due to its position.

Mathematically, potential energy is given by the formula;

P.E = mgh

Where, P.E represents potential energy measured in Joules.

m represents the mass of an object.

g represents acceleration due to gravity measured in meters per seconds square.

h represents the height measured in meters.

Both potential and kinetic energy is affected by an object's mass.

Identify the immune response described as nonspecific or specific.
Specific response creates an immediate response to pathogens that enter the body
Nonspecific response evident by a sneeze, cough, fever, or other physical symptom
Specific response recognizes antigens present on pathogens and attacks the pathogen withantibodies
 Specific response builds immunity to specific diseases that had previously entered the body
Nonspecific response does not target specific pathogens.
