Answer:

The answer is :

a) Prophase II, Metaphase II, Anaphase II

Explanation:

The images of this question describe Meiosis II as it can be seen single chromosomes not homologous pairs of them.

Prophase II, Metaphase II and Anaphase II form part of meiosis II. In meiosis II the chromosomes that were duplicated in Meiosis I, split to form two haploid gametes. Then during the fertilization those gametes come together to form a new diploid cell.

In Prophase II there is no duplication, just the replication of centrioles happens. So the daughter centriole is formed and placed perpendicular to its mother. Then the nuclear envelope breaks down and next to the spindle form in Meiosis I a new plane is created.

In Metaphase II odd chromosomes are align in the metaphase plate (in the middle of the spindle).

Finally, in Anaphase II, the centromeres split, and the chromatids move to the opposite pole of the spindle.

Its kinda hard to tell but it looks like A because you can see the chromosome appears to be dividing at the centromere in the bottom illustration which is Anaphase II

Identify the elemant that is a nonmetal , a gas, and has an element symbol that starts with the letter a
lukranit [14]
The element that is a nonmetal, a gas, and has an element symbol that starts with the letter a is Ar (Argon).
Element Ar (Argon) is the third member of noble gases, in period 8, and makes up about 1% of the Earth's atmosphere. It has approximately the same solubility as oxygen and it is 2.5 times as soluble in water as nitrogen. It is an inert element that is colorless and odorless in both its liquid and gaseous forms.

Given 7.20 g of butanoic acid and excess ethanol, how many grams of ethyl butyrate would be synthesized, assuming a complete 100
julsineya [31]

The reaction between butanoic acid and ethanol is:

CH3CH2CH2COOH + CH3CH2OH → CH3CH2CH2COOCH3CH2 + H2O

Based on the reaction stoichiometry:

1 mole of butanoic acid forms 1 mole of ethyl butyrate

Now,

Molar mass of Butanoic acid = 88.0 g/mol

Given mass of butanoic acid = 7.20 g

Therefore, # moles of butanoic acid reacted = 7.20/88.0 = 0.0818 moles

# moles of ethyl butyrate formed = 0.0818 moles

Molar mass of ethyl butyrate = 116 g/mol

Mass of ethyl butyrate synthesized = 0.0818 * 116 = 9.49 g

N the reaction Mg + 2HCl -> MgCl2 + H2 which element’s oxidation number does not change?
BartSMP [9]

Answer:- Oxidation number of Cl does not change as it is -1 on both sides.

Explanations:- oxidation number of Mg on reactant side is 0 as it is in its elemental form(not combined with another element).

Oxidation number  of hydrogen in its compounds is +1, so if H is +1 in HCl the oxidation number of Cl is -1 as the sum has to be zero.

On product side, Mg oxidation number is +2 as the oxidation number of alkaline earth metals in their compounds is +2.

Two Cl are present in magnesium chloride, so if Mg is +2 then Cl is -1.

Oxidation number of H on product side is 0 as it is present in its elemental for, H_2 ,

So, it is only chlorine(Cl) whose oxidation number does not change for the given equation.

The air inside a bicycle tire pump has 27 joules of heat conducted away from while 77.9 joules of work done are being done on it
tatyana61 [14]

Answer:

51 J

Explanation:

The air inside a bicycle tire pump has 27 joules of heat conducted away. By convention, when heat is released, it takes the negative sign, so Q = -27 J.

77.9 joules of work done are being done on the air inside a bicycle tire pump. By convention, when work is being done on the system, it takes the positive sign, so W = 77.9 J

We can calculate the change in the internal energy (ΔU) using the following expression.

ΔU = Q + W

ΔU = (-27 J) + 77.9 J

ΔU =  51 J
