Answer:

The final pressure of the gas when its temperature returns to its initial value 1.8234\times 10^6 Pa.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : An ideal gas is confined within a closed cylinder at a pressure of 2.026\times 10^5 Pa by a piston. The piston moves until the volume of the gas is reduced to one-ninth of the initial volume.

To find : What is the final pressure of the gas when its temperature returns to its initial value?

Solution :

Since the temperature is constant .

The relation between P and V is given by,

P_1\times V_1 = P_2\times V_2

\frac{P_1}{P_2}=\frac{V_2}{V_1} ....(1)

The piston moves until the volume of the gas is reduced to one-ninth of the initial volume i.e. V_2=\frac{V_1}{9}

or \frac{V_2}{V_1}=\frac{1}{9}

P_1=2.026\times 10^5

Substitute in equation (1),

\frac{2.026\times 10^5}{P_2}=\frac{1}{9}

P_2=9\times 2.026\times 10^5

P_2=18.234\times 10^5

P_2=1.8234\times 10^6

The final pressure of the gas when its temperature returns to its initial value 1.8234\times 10^6 Pa.

Round the fraction 7 4/5 to the nearest whole number
AnnyKZ [126]
The nearest whole number is <span><span>8</span></span>

When we are looking at rounding, we round to the number that our fraction or decimal is located. So, since we are rounding to the nearest whole number, given our original mixed number (7 \frac{4}{5}) our answer will be either 7 or 8.

We can change7 \frac{4}{5} to a decimal to equal 7.8 by multiplying both our denominator and our numerator by 2 since 5 * 2 =10, which would change our fraction to \frac{8}{10} which is the same thing as .8

If we look at 7.8 and want to know if it is closer to 8 or 7, we just remember that when rounding, if it is 5 or above, you round up, anything else, you leave the number in front of it like it is. .8 is above 5 so we round 7 to the whole number 8. So, our answer is 8

Thank you for your question! I hope this helped! Have an amazing day and feel free to let me know if I can help you further! :D

For some value of z, the value of the cumulative standardized normal distribution is 0.8340. the value of z is
Aleksandr-060686 [28]

For some value of z, the value of the cumulative standardized normal distribution is 0.8340. the value of z is

Answer: We are required to find the value of z corresponding to probability 0.8340.

i.e., P(Z

We can find the value of z using the standard normal table.

Using the standard normal table, we have:

z(0.8340)=0.97

Therefore, for the value of z = 0.97, cumulative standardized normal distribution is 0.8340

Attached here standard normal table for your reference.
