When you study algebra, you see relationships in the form of graphs, tables, and equations. These relationships connect independ

ent variables with dependent variables. You probably also use the word relationship in your own life. Compare what the word relationship means in algebra and what it means in your life. How are the meanings similar, and how are they different?

Studying algebra means you study relations of the variables and the numbers. The equations that are used in this subject could represent real life phenomenon. Models that are established by scientists and mathematicians has its foundation not only in science but also in mathematics especially algebra. Models are used to predict values that are impossible to obtain through experiments. These are used to describe relationships between factors. Relationships are connections that exist between ideas, people or objects. Its definition in math is also applicable in real life. In real life, it usually represent the connection between people.

Jorge has saved $15.50. Janet saved 1/5 of the amount that Jorge saved. Rob saved 12 times as much of Janet. What is the total s
KiRa [710]

Answer:

$55.80

Step-by-step explanation:

First, find how much Janet saved by finding 1/5 of 15.50:

15.50/5

= 3.1

Find how much Rob saved by multiplying 3.1 by 12:

3.1(12)

= 37.2

Then, find the total saved amount by adding them all together:

15.50 + 3.1 + 37.2

= 55.8

So, they saved $55.80 in total
