Read this excerpt from White Fang by Jack London. Such was the lesson that was quickly borne in upon him. It came hard, going as

it did, counter to much that was strong and dominant in his own nature; and, while he disliked it in the learning of it, unknown to himself he was learning to like it. This is an example of which type of conflict?

WILL MARK AS BRAINLEST!!!
taurus [48]

Answer:

D

Explanation:

although i have not read the article, i can conclude from the keywords (grave & egyptian), that the answer is probably D.

the backstory behind my reasoning is that it's called a Grave Matter. that eliminates the possibility of answer 'A'. also, i believe we can eliminate C, because the name of the article makes me think otherwise. B is probably a contestant, but my choice (if i haven't read the article) would be D. please let me know if this works or not.

Think about the short story "The Lottery." The reader can conclude that the lottery was held MAINLY to _____.
Rufina [12.5K]

Answer:

B. preserve an institutionalized tradition that imposed limits on its participants.

Explanation:

The main idea of The Lottery is how societies often preserve traditions even after they have lost any reason for existing and even become damaging to the people. This is the case of the lottery which is held in the town. The lottery has no particular purpose or benefit. It is simply maintained and repeated because of an extreme desire to respect and maintain tradition, and to limit the behaviour and liberty of people.
