Beauty standards have a great influence on daily life. The generate a lot of pressure on people regarding how the have to look in order to feel good. This can lead to anxiety, depression and sometimes eating disorders. While there's a widespread idea nowadays of "accepting yourself the way you are", the beauty standards keep pushing us towards other path, and trying to keep up with it can be really frustrating.
