I believe this problem has the following table for long distance call:

                                                0-1 minutes                        2-5 minutes                        6+ minutes

Long distance                            170                         120                         10

To solve this problem, let us first recall what probability means:

Probability = number of successful event / number of total events

In this case, an event is considered to be successful when the long distance call is not 6+ minutes long.  Therefore:

number of successful event = 170 + 120 = 290

Now the number of total events is the sum of all number of calls, hence,

number of total events = 170 + 120 + 10

number of total events = 300

Probability that the call is not 6+ minutes long is therefore:

Probability = 290 / 300

Probability = 0.9667

or

Probability = 96.67%

True [87]

Answer:

\huge\boxed{\tan x=\dfrac{\sin x}{\cos x}}

Step-by-step explanation:

\tan x\cos x=\sin x\\\\\tan x=\dfrac{\sin x}{\cos x}\\\\\text{Therefore}\\\\\tan x\cos x=\dfrac{\sin x}{\cos x}\cdot\cos x\qquad\text{cancel}\ \cos x\\\\\tan x\cos x=\sin x\\\\\text{For}\ x\neq\dfrac{\pi}{2}+k\pi},\ k\in\mathbb{Z}

What is the answer cos75 degrees=10/x
vova2212 [387]
To find the answer we simply work out the equation.
cos (75) = 10/x

cos (75) * x = 10. Here, I simply multiplied both sides by x to move x to the left hand side of the equation.

x = 10 / cos (75) Here, I divided cos (75) on both sides to move cos (75) to the right hand side of the equation.

The cosine of 75 is 0.92175127, so, 10 / 0.92175127 = 10.8489137

A jar of marbles contains 7 blue marbles, 12 yellow marbles, 8 green marbles, and 5 red marbles. Use this information to answer
AnnZ [28]
Total marbles = 7 + 12 + 8 + 5 = 32
Green marbles = 8
Yellow marbles = 12

P(green ,then yellow) = (8/32)(12/32) = 3/32

Answer: The probability is 3/32

In 25 words or fewer, compare the mathematical and algebraic<br><br> expressions.
DedPeter [7]

Answer:

use own words

Step-by-step explanation:

An expression is just a mathematical phrase. In this tutorial, you'll learn about two popular types of expressions: numerical and algebraic expressions. A numerical expression contains numbers and operations. An algebraic expression is almost exactly the same except it also contains variables.

in mathematics, an algebraic expression is an expression built up from integer constants, variables, and the algebraic operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and exponentiation by an exponent that is a rational number)
