We have that
the picture original is 2.5 in x 6 in
high=2.5 in
wide=6 in

the picture <span>enlarged  is
</span>high=2.5*x
wide=6*x-----> 6*x=18--------> x=18/6----------> x=3
x is the factor scale
so
high=2.5*x-----> 2.5*3----> 7.5 in

the answer is
7.5 in

If AB is parallel to CD, and CD = 20, BD = 6, DE = 8, what is the length of AB?
castortr0y [4]

Answer:

Option b. 35 units

Step-by-step explanation:

we know that

If two figures are similar, then the ratio of its corresponding sides is proportional and its corresponding angles are congruent

in this problem triangle ABE and triangle CDE are similar by AA Similarity Theorem

so

\frac{AB}{DC}=\frac{BE}{DE}

substitute the given values

\frac{AB}{20}=\frac{14}{8}

Solve for AB

AB=\frac{14}{8}(20)

AB=35\ units

Find a rational number between -1/3 and 1/2
noname [10]

Answer:

1/6

Step-by-step explanation:

Rational numbers between two rational numbers:

  •      First find the Least Common Denominator for 2 and 3
  • Then find equivalent fractions with the LCD.

LCD of 2 and 3 = 6

\sf \dfrac{-1}{3}=\dfrac{-1*2}{3*2}=\dfrac{-2}{6}\\\\\dfrac{1}{2}=\dfrac{1*3}{2*3}=\dfrac{3}{6}

\sf Rational \ number \ between \ \dfrac{-2}{6} \ and \ \dfrac{3}{6} \  is \  \bf \dfrac{1}{6}
