Classify the structures as homologous or analogous, depending on their structure and function. The limbs of a bat and the foreli

mbs of a bird have similar functions but different anatomy. The wings of a bird have a skeletal structure, but the wings of bees do not. The arm of a human and the arm of a chimpanzee have similar functions and bone structures. Frogs and salamanders are both amphibians, and they also both have three-chambered hearts.

Answers;
The limbs of a bat and the forelimbs of a bird have similar functions but different anatomy -homologous structures
The wings of a bird have a skeletal structure, but the wings of bees do not-  analogous structures
The arm of a human and the arm of a chimpanzee have similar functions and bone structures- Homologous structures
Frogs and salamanders are both amphibians, and they also both have three-chambered hearts- Analogous structures.

Explanation;
Analogous structures have a different evolutionary ancestries but they have the same function; while homologous structures are the opposite; they have similar ancestries and common traits but maybe not have the same function in an organism.

When muscle tissue is exercising under anaerobic conditions, the production of ______ is important because it ensures a continuo
MatroZZZ [7]

Given what we know about the biological mechanisms behind anaerobic exercise, we can confirm that the production of lactate ensures a continuous supply of NAD.

In order for us to undergo any physical exercise, it is imperative that we are able to produce energy within our cells. The energy used by cells is in the form of a molecule by the name of ATP, which is produced primarily through a process known as <em>Glycolysis</em>.

This is relevant given that in order for glycolysis to happen, a key protein is required known as NAD+. Lactate is produced from pyruvate only under anaerobic conditions because these are conditions that lack oxygen which is the only other source of NAD+, therefore, pyruvate must be converted to lactic acid to make it possible to continue glycolysis and the production of ATP.
