Imagery creates a mood, a tone... a feeling... or it creates a picture in our minds... Like for example, if I say this, "My life is like a box, I don't like opening up," that'll create a picture in your mind. Imagery makes you visualize. Imagery does not only create a picture in your mind, but the "five senses can respond to what a poet writes."

Hope this helps you!!! :)

By using first person narration, what is an important effect that the writer achieves.
ololo11 [35]

First-person immediately puts the reader inside the narrator's head, which allows for an intimate portrayal of thoughts and emotions. You can effectively communicate how each moment feels—delivering sight, sound, smell, taste, and touch—through the prism of your narrator.

So, who had read the book, The Red Badge of Courage? I am having to do a 200 pt assignment on it and would like some pointers. F
jonny [76]
Henry's journey in The Red Badge of Courage is obviously a very complex one, and that it's difficult to fit into an 8 slide presentation, but you can certainly try! I think the thing it is most important to discuss is the fluctuation in his character development, from being terrified to confident, to being scared again, to finally overcoming his fears only to receive a terrible knockback. Make sure not to write as if his journey within the story was one smooth path.

Luden [163]

Answer: D. The resolute desk has a fascinating history

Explanation:

This double pedestal partners' desk, usually called the "Resolute desk", was made from the oak timbers of the British ship H.M.S. Resolute as a gift to President Rutherford B. Hayes from Queen Victoria in 1880.

This desk remained, however, on the Second Floor of the Residence in the President's Study.
