Pyramid=1/3(hside^2)
h=3 for both
side for pyramid is 2pi
pyramid=1/3(3(2pi)^2)
pyramid=4pi^2

cone=1/3hpir^2
h=3
r=4
cone=1/3(3)(pi4^2)
cone=pi16
cone=16pi

16pi compared to 4pi^2
divide both sides by 4pi
4 compared to pi
4>pi because pi is about 3.14
so cone has larger volume

A certain building has a triangular shaped face to link up of the sides of the triangular base or 145 feet 257 feet in 290 feet
attashe74 [19]

Answer:

18617.66 ft^2

Step-by-step explanation:

sides of triangular base

a=  145ft  ,

b = 257ft ,

c =  290ft

calculate the area of the base

The base is a scalene triangle hence the area is calculated as follows

s = ( a + b + c ) / 2

  = ( 145 + 257 + 290 ) / 2 = 346

Area of triangle = \sqrt{s(s-a)(s-b)(s-c)}  = \sqrt{346(201)(89)(56)}

                          = 18617.66 ft^2

The volume of a triangular prism with base dimensions of 4 cm height and 10 cm base and a prism height of 15 cm is??
jonny [76]
I think you can do this way:
Volume = B*h where B is the area of the base.
B= 4 * 10 = 40
V= 40 * 15
V= 600 cm^3
