Hey there!

\frac{25}{f+2}  = \frac{5}{3}

First you will have to cross multiply

25(3) =5(f+2) \\ 25(3)= 75 \\ 5(f) = 5f \\ 5(2) = 10 \\ 75 = 5f + 10

Second we have to flip the equation around

5f + 10 = 75

Third we have to subtract by 10 on each of your sides!

5f + 10 - 10 \\ 75 - 10 \\ Cancel: 10-10 \\ Keep: 75 - 10 \\ 75 - 10 = 65

Fourth we have to divide by 5 on each of your sides

\frac{5f}{5}  = \frac{65}{5} \\ Cancel: \frac{5f}{5}  \\ Keep: \frac{65}{5}

Answer: f = 13

Good luck on your assignment and enjoy your day!

To do this you have to cross multiply so you would do:

25/(f+2)=5/3

25*3=5(f+2)

75=5f+10

65=5f

13=f

Find the area of the shaded region. Show your work please
vitfil [10]
So if the formula is A=(pi)r^2, find the area of the entire circle:
A=(pi)(13^2)=530.66cm
then find the area of the little circle:
A=(pi)(3^2)= 28.26cm
then subtract the little circle from the big circle:
530.66cm-28.26cm= 502.4cm
and there you go. Hope this helps!

Pretend you have a sibling who is two years younger than you. He/she hears you working on triangle similarity and wants to know
taurus [48]

Two triangles are similar if they are the same, except one is bigger and one is smaller. Also, their angles are all the same. A career that uses similar triangles could be a mathematician, or a math teacher. Both of these need to be able to understand simple concepts like similar triangles to teach to their victims.
