Answer:

It would take 4 weeks

Step-by-step explanation:

We can solve this problem most easily by forming it into an equation. We could represent weeks as w.

Since you train 5 more minutes every week, we could represent that as 5w, showing that you work 5 minutes times the number of weeks you worked out.

The constant would be adding 10, since you started out working 10 minutes a day. Now lets just write the equation!

10+5w=30

All we have to do is solve.

Subtract 10 on both sides to cancel out the positive 10.

5w=20

Now just divide both sides by 5 to isolate the w.

w=4

It would take him 4 weeks

Hope this helps!

Translate the phrase into algebraic expression seven more than twice Jose’s height using the variable J to represent Jose height
Mkey [24]

Answer:

2j+7

Step-by-step explanation:

Phrase Into Algebraic Expression

If a problem is correctly phrased, it should be easily translated into algebraic language by following simple and concrete rules.

We have the phrase:

7 more than twice Jose's height.

Usually, we first deal with products and divisions before sums and subtractions because of the natural order of mathematic operations.

In the given phrase, the '7 more' part is left to the end and we start with the 'twice' part because it's a product.

Since we are using the variable j for Jose's height, then twice Jose's height is 2j.

Now we finish the expression by adding 7: 2j+7

Thus, the translation to algebraic expression is: 2j+7

Gradient of this Give explanation as well
tigry1 [53]

Answer:

3 is the gradient.

Step-by-step explanation:

take coordinates through which the line is passing through like

( 0 , -2 )  and ( 6 , 16 )

to find slope/ gradient = ( y2 - y1 )/ ( x2 -x1 )

                                     = ( 16 - -2 ) / ( 6 - 0 )

                                     =  3

to confirm, let me find the equation as well:

y - 16 = 3 ( x - 6 )

y - 16  = 3x - 18

y = 3x - 2

below for visual check. its true and matches. { confirmed }
