How do the positions of governor general and prime minister in the canadian government differ

Well first and foremost, the prime minister has more power over the governor general and is in fact appointed by the prime minister himself. Traditionally however, this isn't true because the governor general basically acts as the Queen's right hand man and since the Queen is (symbolically) higher than the prime minister, the governor general is once again traditionally above the prime minister.In reality though, the governor general actually has little to no power compared to the prime minister. In fact all the governor general really does is give speeches during award ceremonies and sign bills (a law that is still in the process of becoming a law).

bulgar [2K]

Answer:

Emily's opportunity cost of producing 1 milkshake is 1 ice cream sundae.

Ben's opportunity cost of producing 1 milkshake is 0.5 ice cream sundae.

Explanation:

Both Emily and Ben own an ice cream parlor.

In an hour Emily can produce 40 milkshakes or 40 ice cream sundaes.

Emily's opportunity cost of producing a milkshake is

= \frac{What\ is\ sacrificed}{What\ is\ gained}

= \frac{40}{40}

= 1 ice cream sundae

In an hour Ben can produce 20 milkshakes or 10 ice cream sundaes.

Ben's opportunity cost of producing a milkshake is

= \frac{What\ is\ sacrificed}{What\ is\ gained}

= \frac{20}{10}

= 0.5 ice cream sundae

We see that Ben has a lower opportunity cost of producing milkshake, so we can say that he has a comparative advantage in producing milkshake.

Why were tariffs on foreign goods so important in creating more industry and a stronger economy in the U.S.?
vazorg [7]
The American people opposed taxes on goods (and taxes in general) during the time of the Revolutionary War, but America needed taxes in order to aid for the cost of the war and running a country. So the tariffs on foreign goods made it harder to get things from other countries which supported local economy.
