It is helpful to know several forms of the equation of a line. One that is often overlooked is the intercept form.
.. x/(x-intercept) +y/(y-intercept) = 1

The boundary conditions for your inequalities can be written as the lines
.. x/20 +y/20 = 1
.. x/24 +y/15 = 1

The first inequality will be bounded by the line that has x=20 and y=20 as its x- and y-intercepts. The second inequality will be bounded by the line with x=24 and y=15 as its x- and y-intercepts. Since the inequality conditions include the "or equal to" case, the graphed boundary line will be solid, not dashed. (All but the first graph have these lines properly shown.)

The region shaded for each inequality will be the half-plane (or its portion in the first quadrant) where the x- and y-values make the inequality true. For this problem, that is values of x and y to the left/below the line in both cases. Graph (c) shows where these "feasible regions" overlap, so is the correct choice.

Geometry, SEMI-EASY question. I will give brainliest. Just want to double-check.
SashulF [63]

Answer:

Option B

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the point O is the origin.

Then the coordinates of the vertices A,B and C will be,

A → (-12, -8)

B → (-8, 0)

C → (-6, -4)

Rule for the dilation of a point (x, y) by scale factor 'k' about the origin is,

(x, y) → (kx, ky)

By this rule, coordinates of the vertices of the image triangle will be,

If k = \frac{1}{2},

A(-12, -8) → A'(-6, -4)

B(-8, 0) → B'(-4, 0)

C(-6, -4) → C'(-3, -2)

From the given options,

Option B is the answer.

Factor the trinomial. Factor out the GCF first.<br> 5x^2y - 30xy^2 - 35y^3
anzhelika [568]

Answer: 5x^2y - 30xy^2 - 35y^3=5y(x+y)(x-7y)

Step-by-step explanation:

GCF = Greatest common factor.

For example: 6 is the GCF of 12 and 18.

The given expression: 5x^2y - 30xy^2 - 35y^3

It can be written as

5x^2y - (5\times6)x( y\times y) - (5\times7)(y^2\times y)

Taking out common factor  5y , we get

5y(x^2-6xy-7y^2)\\\\ =5y(x^2+xy-7xy-7y^2)\  \ [\because-6xy=xy-7xy]\\\\=5y(x(x+y)-7y(x+y))\\\\= 5y((x+y)(x-7y))\\\\=5y(x+y)(x-7y)

Hence, 5x^2y - 30xy^2 - 35y^3=5y(x+y)(x-7y)

Select the correct answer.<br> A and АВ:<br><br> Which matrix is matrix B?
Kruka [31]

Answer:

Option B

Step-by-step explanation:

Looking at the options, option B is correct because when multiplying it by matrix A, it yields the matrix AB as follows;

First row of A multiplied by first column of matrix in option D;

(1 × -1) + (0 × 0) + (0 × 0) = -1 which corresponds to the first number on the first row of Matrix AB

Since majority of matrix AB are zero, I will just prove the ones that are not zero.

Thus;

Second row of matrix A is multiplied by second column of matrix in option D;

(0 × 0) + (-1 × -1) + (0 × 0) = 1 which is same as 2nd number on second row in matrix AB

Lastly, third row of matrix A is multiplied by third column of matrix in option D;

(0 × 0) + (0 × 0) + (1 × -1) = -1 which is same as third number in third row in matrix AB
