Hello there!

Yes, your solution is correct! A way to check it is replacing the value you found for x into x in the equation.

3(2-x) = 7 - 4x ⇒ 3(2-1) = 7 - 4(1)

And now solve  3(2-1) = 7 - 4(1).

3(1) = 7 - 4(1)

3 = 7 - 4

3 = 3

Since it is a true statement that 3 is equal to 3, it means your solution of x = 1 is correct. Good job! :)

Hello

3 (2-x)=7-4x

6-3x=7-4x

6-7=-4x+3x

-1=-x

x=1

Good Luck

THANK YOU (PLEASE HELP) <3 C: TYSMMMM PLZZZ Write an equation of a parabola that is wider than the parent function, reflects
My name is Ann [436]

Answer:

y=-2x^2-4

Step-by-step explanation:

The parabola is wider than it's parent function, y = x^2. Therefore the coefficient, of x^2 (when you refer to quadratic equations it's a) should be greater than 1. Let's take 2.

y = 2x^2

Now it is reflected across the x-axis, so the equation turns to y = -2x^2. The vertex is shifted down 4. Note that it is shifted down, along the y-axis. This makes 'c' (again quadratic equations) -4.

Final Equation: y=-2x^2-4

Can you help me find the rate of change???
amm1812

we can alsoways find the slope by simply using two points off the table, bearing in mind  that slope goes by different names

rate of change

average rate of change

delta difference

rise over run

however is the same cat disguised in different costumes.

\bf \begin{array}{|cc|ll} \cline{1-2} time&distance\\ \cline{1-2} 15&2\\ 30&4\\ 45&5\\ 60&6\\ \cline{1-2} \end{array} \begin{array}{llll} \\[1em] \leftarrow \\\\ \leftarrow \end{array}\qquad \qquad (\stackrel{x_1}{30}~,~\stackrel{y_1}{4})\qquad (\stackrel{x_2}{60}~,~\stackrel{y_2}{6})

\bf \stackrel{\textit{\large average rate of change}}{\stackrel{slope}{m}\implies \cfrac{\stackrel{rise} {\stackrel{y_2}{6}-\stackrel{y1}{4}}}{\underset{run} {\underset{x_2}{60}-\underset{x_1}{30}}}\implies \cfrac{2}{30}\implies \cfrac{1}{15}}
