The theme is generally what the poet means to convey. This is usually a universal truth, or something similar. The poem's subject is literally just what the poem is describing or making commentary about. Poets often use symbolism in their poems to convey the theme. The subject is often simple - it is what the poet is discussing in their poem. The theme is often their attitude towards said subject.
The line from Edgar Allan Poe’s “ A Voyage to the Moon” that does not support the theme topics : pride , arrogance , and control is found in the last stanza and it reads: "lift our heads and see above her, wonderer in her skies a wonder to us past the reach of wonder..."

Well for one, they start seeing things in a different point of view, and this possibly led to writers finding a narrative that suits that. So Modernist writers like, lets say Virginia Woolf's style, is mostly free indirect discourse. Like, the inner thoughts become more important. So I'd say it influences the narrative.
