Answer:

it means compound A is less polar than compound B

Explanation:

It is sure that the more polar the solvent, the faster compounds elute, regardless of the compounds polarity. This means changing the solvent polarity cannot change the order compounds elute from a TLC or column. This may seem non intuitive, as it would seem that a polar solvent would move a polar compound farther than a nonpolar compound.

Which mineral(s) might you be examining if you place some hydrochloric (hcl) acid on a sample and it fizzes?
makvit [3.9K]
The minerals that one might be examining if you place some hydrochloric acid on a sample and it fizzes are Calcite and Dolomite.
Calcite and dolomite are very similar minerals. Both have the same hardness, the same rhombohedral cleavage, and are found in identical geologic settings. The best way to tell one from the other is the acid test; A drop of 1 M HCl on calcite produces an instant , obvious Fizz; a drop on dolomite produces slow or no obvious bubbling.

A ball is rolling across the floor. Every 3 seconds it travels 12 meters. Its speed, therefore, is 36 m/s. Is this problem solve
kirill [66]
No because you are supposed to do this

d = t)v
T for time and V for velocity or acceleration so what you do is take the two numbers

D= 3/12 it goes 12 meters every 3 seconds so you devide 12/3
12 \div 3 = 4
So for every second the ball roles 4 meters!
Hope this helps! :)

Silver is a white metal that is an excellent conductor. Silver tarnishes when exposed to air and light. The density of silver is
Stells [14]

Answer:

c tarnishes in air

Explanation:

After silver has been exposed to air that contains sulphur gases, discoloration would occur. there would be darkening that is caused by the reaction with gases. When any silver object tarnishes, it brings about a disfiguring of that object. Hydrogen sulphide would be needed for this to happen. silver sulphide is black and a if a thin layer should form on any surface, it ill darken it. This is what we refer to as tarnishing.
