Answer: The sac like structure which form the grana is called thylakoids.

Explanation: Photosynthesis in higher plants is made up of two stages: the light dependent reactions (light reactions) which occur only when plants are illuminated and the carbon fixation reactions which are driven by products of light reactions. In photosynthetic eukaryotic cells, both the light-dependent and the carbon assimilation reactions occur in the chloroplasts. A Chloroplast is a membrane bound intracellular organelle which contains many flattened membrane-surrounded vesicles or sacs called thylakoids which are usually arranged in stacks known as grana. The thylakoid membranes often called lamellae contains the photosynthetic pigments and the enzyme complexes that carry out the light dependent reactions and ATP synthesis.

Why might it be beneficial for plants to exhibit phototaxis
tatuchka [14]

Answer:You have learned that photosynthesis always brings new food to the earth. There is another reason why photosynthesis is so important. Oxygen is produced during photosynthesis. Humans and animals need oxygen to stay alive. Plants themselves also need oxygen. Through the photosynthesis, new oxygen is constantly coming into the air. Without photosynthesis, the oxygen in the air would slowly run out. All living beings would then die. In many plants, photosynthesis does not only occur in the leaves. Photosynthesis can take place in all green parts of a plant. For plants with green stems, photosynthesis also takes place in the stems. But most photosynthesis takes place in the leaves. The leaves therefore have the special function of allowing photosynthesis to take place.

Describe the origin of each strand of the new double helices created after DNA
Alona [7]
The process of DNA replication is a semi-conservative process; therefore each newly replicated helices contains one strand from the parent, and one daughter strand.

Explanation;
Replication of DNA is an important process especially during cell division, The two strands of DNA molecule have complementary base pairs and therefore, each of these strands contains the information needed to produce another strand. Each can be used as a pattern or template to produce a complementary strand. Finally each template and its new complement together form a new DNA helix, identical to the original. This is referred to as semi-conservative process because each new strand formed would have one strand from the original DNA molecule and a new complementary strand.
