Answer:You have learned that photosynthesis always brings new food to the earth. There is another reason why photosynthesis is so important. Oxygen is produced during photosynthesis. Humans and animals need oxygen to stay alive. Plants themselves also need oxygen. Through the photosynthesis, new oxygen is constantly coming into the air. Without photosynthesis, the oxygen in the air would slowly run out. All living beings would then die. In many plants, photosynthesis does not only occur in the leaves. Photosynthesis can take place in all green parts of a plant. For plants with green stems, photosynthesis also takes place in the stems. But most photosynthesis takes place in the leaves. The leaves therefore have the special function of allowing photosynthesis to take place.

A phylogenetic tree based on morphology can be constructed using the presence or lack of characteristics. In this illustration, all aliens except the outgroup possess a spring tail, all aliens possess a fourth eye, two aliens possess two tails, and one alien has a grasping hand. The evolutionary relationships between these organisms can be hypothesized using these traits.

Aliens:

  • We can determine whether the following traits are present in the remaining aliens by using the group of aliens with the tail stalk as our test group.
  • Out group: a group that is maintained apart from the clade but is yet connected to it.
  • If we provide these aliens alphabets for ease of understanding, then aliens will be like in order.
  • We can use the group of aliens with the tail stalk as our test group to see if the following characteristics are present in the remaining aliens.
  • A group that is kept separate from the clade while yet being affiliated with it is known as an out group.
  • The aliens will appear to be in order if we give them alphabets for simplicity.

Observe the given figures carefully and answer the following questions.(a) The amount of CO2 be the highest in which jar. Why?(b
NNADVOKAT [17]

Answer:

a) Jar C, b) Jar A

Explanation:

a) The amount of CO2 is the highest in jar C because it only contains CO2-producing organisms: mice. A plant in the same jar, like in jar B, would counteract this CO2 production by using it to produce oxygen, which would balance it out.

b) Jar A has the lowest amount of CO2 because the plant is by itself only producing oxygen. There is no life form in jar b that produces CO2.
